Laurel Jaycees Have Successful
4th of July weekend!
With 2 bands entertaining the crowd, the Laurel Jaycee's July 3rd Street Dance was a success.
Mother Nature tried to blow everything over just before opening, but when she settled down, the Laurel Jaycees and volunteers worked double-time to repair everything, and finished just before Showtime!
Due to the success of the weekend, the Laurel Jaycees will be donating $400 to a family in need. We will also be donating over $3,100 to the Legion Baseball Program.
At the 4th of July Pancake Breakfast we served over 1000 people and it was steady and exciting! The Boy Scout troop 414 helped host the event and we will be donating $500 to their troop for summer camp!
Our Kiddie's Parade had almost 100 participants and it was a GREAT way to kick off the Main Parade through Laurel, Montana!
The Laurel Jaycees have been hosting the July 3rd Street Dance since 1976, and this year we are trying something NEW!
We have 2 bands playing to help kick off the 4th of July in Laurel!
Ern Cunningham will open at 7:00 pm, and he is an excellent guitarist with a WIDE range of music! He's been playing the area for many years, and will be returning to the Street Dance (first time was with the band "Dirty Jones").
Black Velvet Undercover will be closing out the 36th Annual July 3rd Street Dance. This is a Local Band with Lots of character and excitement!
Our cover charge is $5 and the proceeds from the gate will be going to the Laurel Legion Baseball Program.
We will open the gates at 7:00 pm with music right off the bat!
We will be having a hot dog concession stand available to raise money for the American Diabetes Foundation.
We will also have available again, the Glow-Lights concession stand with the proceeds going towards a local family-in-need!
The Laurel Jaycees have a LONG-Standing tradition of donating all of their proceeds from the July 3rd Street Dance to local charities and families-in-need, but we truly need the support of the community to make this happen! Almost every upcoming project that we host depends on the success of this weekend, so please come on out and support your community and have a GREAT time with some GREAT music and GREAT friends!

Kids were treated to Toy Story I, II & III and LOTS of activities and food and refreshments! Santa even came by and paid a visit to the children!

All of the kids had a fulfilling time and each received a "goodie pack" with toys and treats from Walmart of Laurel.
We would like to thank the volunteers that showed up to help entertain and watch the children during the day, and who helped decorate and promote to make this event a SUCCESS!
